About Me
The Standard Issue has gone through many changes to get where they are right now. Hard lessons have been learned and fantastic stories have been told and retold. Such was the time when the band broke into Wayne Szalinski's attic and accidently activated the shrink ray. They had to fight mini Russ and mini Amy for custody of the ant in the backyard and then got drunk on a drop of beer and reveled in the triumph of taking over the giant cookie in the backyard. What a weekend that was. As such are the tales told about this up and coming band. Originating in Texas towns such as Austin, Mesquite, Allen, San Antonio, and even as north as Portland Oregon. Their passion for music greatly outweighs thier hobbies of big game hunting, firewalking, and base jumping. A wide variety of personal tastes in music produces unique and varied tracks, while the vocal prowess of singer/guitarist Preston Cole transmits the messages of the five. Setting the tempo is the backbone of TSI, Colin Hill, and it is rare to see him without some form of percussion resounding a harmonious beat. Providing the deep tones is bass player Chris Collier, who is as animated as he is talented. Holding steady is rhythm guitarist Travis Marks, the most recent addition. Laying down licks and shredding with a reckless abandon is lead guitarist Aaron Self, whose fearlessness is rivaled by none. These five men are The Standard Issue.
